MHA Mission:
We advocate for hospitals and the patients they
serve.
Our History
The Michigan Health &
Hospital Association has been collecting and reporting
community benefits data for more than 12 years, and Data
Services has over 30 years of experience in
health care data management, collection and comparative
reporting. Data Services is a division of the MHA
Service Corporation which has provided health care
programs and services to organizations since 1979.
Our commitment is to provide high-value products and
services at competitive prices while delivering great
customer service. As a vendor with hospital association
roots, we understand the challenges of our hospitals to
maximize resources. We also understand the unique
relationship that associations have with their members
and the importance of maintaining a high level of
satisfaction in those relationships. We think of our
clients as our members and offer them personalized
support that includes telephone support, webcast
training, onsite training, focus groups, and educational
sessions.
Many hospitals and associations, both in Michigan and
nationally, use products developed by the Data Services
division to assist hospital leadership as they quantify
community benefit activities, formulate market strategy,
assess quality and outcomes and implement patient safety
protocol.
Community Benefits Tracker has been designed to assist
both hospitals and associations in management, tracking,
and reporting of the important programs and services
hospitals provide in the community. In 2004, we began
promoting our Community Benefits Annual Survey to other
hospital associations for use in their respective
states. In 2007, we released a new product: Community
Benefits Tracker, for hospitals to collect daily events
and streamline annual survey participation. Since the
release of Community Benefits Tracker, we have
continually improved the process as well as the product
based on client needs.
